Shawna's Story: Waverly Flooding

Shawna was in her home when she received a call that the area was flooding. Her area has flooded in the past, her front yard had some water but not an alarming amount. She called a family member to tell them what was happening and in a matter of minutes the water was approaching the house. She decided it was time to leave. She put her two cats in the car and they left the area for higher ground. The water line inside he home was about chest high with the floors coated with mud. There is evidence of cracks in the walls and ceiling. The shed in the backyard is no where to be found and the carport collapsed. There are deep scoured areas in the yard that show the power of the moving water.
