Clifford's Story: Waverly Flooding

Clifford “Pop” Graves retired with his wife to Waverly, Tennessee, to be closer to his son and grandchildren. When the devastating flooding occurred Saturday, Aug. 21, they lost everything. While his home is still standing, it was severely damaged by about six feet of water. His wife’s family heirlooms and antiques fill the front lawn of his home. Graves is a long time Red Cross blood donor and was even wearing his Red Cross shirt. He thanked Red Cross volunteers profusely for being in town to help him and his neighbors.
