Fight a national blood and platelet shortage: Make a Red Cross donation appointment

The American Red Cross continues to experience a national blood and platelet shortage, and we’re rallying supporters to help! Please book a time to give as soon as possible and help spread the word.

Three ways to make a donation appointment and help save lives:

•      Visit RedCrossBlood.org
•      Call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767)

Blood product distributions to hospitals are outpacing the number of blood donations coming in. Donors of all blood types are urgently needed, especially type O blood donors and those giving platelets.

Special thank-yous for helping rebuild the blood and platelet supply:

• ·        All who come to give Oct. 1-20 will receive a $15 Amazon.com Gift Card by email. Visit RedCrossBlood.org/Together for details.
• ·       Those who come to give Oct. 21-Nov. 9 will get a $10 e-gift card to a restaurant merchant of choice and can enjoy lunch on the Red Cross. They’ll also be automatically entered to win a $5,000 gift card. There will be three lucky winners with one winner randomly selected each week. Details are available at RedCrossBlood.org/lunch.
