It has been said that “sports imitate life.” As an analyst for ESPN, Rece Davis has
witnessed this reality first-hand. From
Moore, Oklahoma to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Rece has reported on the effects of
natural disasters, not only in the sporting world but in the lives of people in
these communities.
I have known Rece since our days together in college and
have had the privilege to be his friend for almost 30 years. He is a man of great character who is highly
respected both by peers, coaches and athletes.
Rece Davis will be the keynote speaker at the American Red
Cross, Natchez Trace Chapter’s Heroes Breakfast on Tuesday, May 6th.
The Red Cross has worked closely with government, businesses and other
organizations to benefit our communities.
Rece will be able to share his unique perspective on the value of the
work of the Red Cross in our communities through the lives of the young men and
women who play college sports.
I would like to encourage everyone to please join us on
Tuesday, May 6th as we support the Natchez Trace Chapter. If you are
unable to attend the event, but would still like to make a donation, you can do
so by visiting redcross.org or by calling 1-800 RED CROSS.
