American Red Cross Southeast Tennessee Heroes Luncheon set for March 8

March 5, 2023 – The American Red Cross, Southeast Tennessee Chapter will host the Heroes Luncheon at The Chattanoogan Hotel on Wednesday, March 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This event is one of the largest celebrations of the Red Cross in the Chattanooga area and serves as a time to recognize our local heroes who make a difference in the community every day. 
 
The Keynote Speaker for this year’s event is Jim Coleman, Jr. Who is the President and Chief Executive Officer for Erlanger Health System. Coleman is a national leader in the hospital industry, having served as chief executive in both for profit and Non-profit systems for more than 25 years. Prior to joining Erlanger, Coleman was President and CEO of Alliant Management Service, a multi-state hospital management company based in Louisville, Kentucky. During his career, Coleman has worked with hospitals in Louisiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Alabama. He has extensive experience in governance and leadership development, along with hospital operations, finance, quality, and market strategy. Originally from Cleveland, Tenn., Coleman has a Bachelor of Science and master's in business administration with a focus in finance from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. 
 
The chapter will honor several citizens who have been true heroes in Southeast Tennessee. The honorees include: 
Good Samaritan Award - Jacob Grammer 
First Responder Award - Nick Wilson 
Call to Service Award - Denise Kell 
Community Award - Wendy Ransom 
 
The chapter will also honor Linda Moss Mines with the Humanitarian Award. This achievement award is given to the person who gives back in the community in several philanthropic ways to make a positive change.
