Smyrna
resident, Savannah Britain, graduated high school a year early and really
didn’t know what she wanted to do with her career and her future. After discovering the Red Cross Nurse
Assistant Training course advertised online, she attended the weekly information
session the very next week at the Nashville Area Chapter of the American Red
Cross. A Ford scholarship recipient,
Britain maintained straight A’s throughout the entire course.
“I am so proud
and excited to work in the medical field and I hope that once I get a job as a
Certified Nurse Assistant, I can begin to save money to go to nursing school to
become a Registered Nurse,” said Britain.
“I have found my calling thanks to this program and I am so grateful to
the Red Cross and my instructors for making this possible!”
Britain
graduated in the May 2014 class for the Red Cross Nurse Assistant Training
course in Nashville along with six other classmates.
If you are
interested in learning more about this exciting opportunity, please note that
all potential students are required to attend an information session as a
prerequisite to enrollment. Information sessions are held: Tuesdays
at 10:00 a.m. 2201 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, Tennessee. Sessions last approximately an hour, and
potential students are under no obligation to enroll. Attendees should bring a
pen or pencil, paper to take notes and a list of questions for the presenter.
